Former Penguin and prospect has now been traded for the second time this season after his short stint with the Montreal Canadiens in a post deadline trade.

Former Penguin traded to Devils

It was announced today in a rare trade that doesn't usually happen post deadline, seems like a deal that would benefit AHL teams. The Montreal Canadiens traded former Penguin Nathan Legaré to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Arnaud Durandeau.

Legaré was drafted in 2018, and was dealt to the Canadiens back in August in the Erik Karlsson trade.

Trades are uncommon after the trade deadline, but can still happen when its regards to AHL teams. It can also happen at the NHL level, but that player wouldn't be eligible to play in the NHL until the next season.

Hopefully the former Penguins prospect can find some confidence in his new home in New Jersey's farm team, the Utica Comets.
