Seven Penguins players who won't be traded this off-season

The 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway and the Pittsburgh Penguins 2024 off-season has already started.

Current general manager and president of hockey operations Kyle Dubas has kept himself busy with the amount of movement he will look to make.

Obviously, Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, and Evgeni Malkin are the first three on the untouchable table. Unless one of them asks to be traded, it's not going to happen. Finish that with the fact they have full no-movement clauses and you now have a recipe for the trio finishing their careers together.

Other players who won't be traded? Erik Karlsson tops the list unless he asks or the team needs to move the contract. Both are unlikely to happen as Kyle Dubas wanted Karlsson for a while.


Bryan Rust is a no-movement clause guy who earned his spot and has pushed his way into his scrappy winger mentality. He is a perfect match for this team and losing him would be hard for the Penguins.

Tristan Jarry has a 12-team no-trade list and is the Penguins' starting goaltender. Unless something catastrophic happens, Jarry will stick out his contract in Pittsburgh. Though, stranger things have happened...

Finally, Michael Bunting rounds out the list. He was acquired in the trade sending Jake Guentzel to Carolina and Dubas sees something in Bunting that he loves. He didn't disappoint either and will likely be a player the Penguins build around long-term.
