NHL confirms Bennett' suspension fate following brutal hit on Marchand

After his brutal hit on Brad Marchand in game three of their playoff series, Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett has now heard he will not face suspension.

The Bruins-Panthers playoff series has been one of the most aggressive, with both teams seemingly taking every chance they can to clash with opposing players. However, last night, Boston fans were enraged after Sam Bennet made a nasty and seemingly intentional hit to Brad Marchand.





Unfortunately for the Bruins, Brad Marchand was out for the remainder of the game. To make matters worse, according to recent reports, Boston's captain could be out of the next two games as part of concussion protocol.




Though confirmation on that front has yet to be made, we can officially say that because are past the 5:00 PM deadline, Sam Bennet will not face suspension or any additional Player Safety hearings.




This is undoubtedly aggravating news for the Boston team, who is aiming to tie the score 2-2 in their home game against the Panthers tomorrow evening. With Marchand questionable and Bennet in play, the game is certain to be a near bloodbath.
