Islanders Players Show the Ultimate Disrespect to Their Fans

One question that kept us all awake last night is: What were the Islanders doing? Zero class last night on the Islanders players behalf after conceding to a last second goal by Alexandre Carrier of the Nashville Predators.

Predators Win it late with 7.8 seconds left

Carrier scored the winner to make it 2-1 with 7 seconds left in the game. We've seen an NHL team come back with 7 seconds left yet most of the Islanders bench went straight to the dressing room. Carrier, scored the winner in a flukey goal that some might argue Ilya Sorokin shouldn't let pass him.

Islanders fans did not deserve that treatment

The ultimate disrespectful behavior happened last night when most of the Islanders players left towards the dressing room before the game was finished. Islanders let their fans down with their disrespect and even their organization. Fans payed hundreds of dollars to watch their favorite sports team play with passion, class and integrity.

That behaviour dismissed all three qualities fans came to watch for. These players make millions of dollars playing the beautiful game and yet they come off the ice while the game is still in play.

Myself and many others find that disgusting and want that to play no part in this game. The Islanders organization should dismiss an apology to all those fans who attended representing the Islanders. The only player to stay on the bench was former Canucks captain Bo Horvat.
