Upper Body Injury to Reilly Smith

In Thursday nights matchup against the Vancouver Canucks, Reilly Smith suffered an upper body injury and was forced to leave the game.

Today we received news that it was even worse than it looked.

What this Injury means for the Penguins

The loss of Smith will be a difficult one as he plays an important role in the Penguins top 6. As they continue their quest for a playoff spot, they may look to make an acquisition to replace him if the injury is severe. Alternatively, they could look for someone else to step up and fill his shoes.

We wish him a very speedy recovery.

More details to follow.
