Geno's Recent Slump

Over the past few games Geno has been catching a lot of flack for his recent performance. One of the most glaring examples of this was him scoring on his own net in a recent game against Arizona.

In recent memory, especially on the Penguins abysmal power play, Geno has looked almost invisible and has likely contributed to the issues the Penguins have been having.

Last night he tried his best to change that.

A Big Goal Against a Strong Opponent

In the 3rd period, that slump seems to have come to an end.

Earlier in the week, Geno was quoted as saying:

"I know people say I'm not good player now," admitted Malkin. "For, like, maybe month or more, they are right. But I'm not done as good player. I know what is true."

Hopefully the goal last night is helping him get his confidence back!

I for one, really hope that he can keep turning his play around and dominate again. The Penguins will sure need his help coming down the stretch.
