Is the Penguins Top Line the Most Dominant in the NHL?
The Penguins Top Line has had Continued Success This Season
It's no secret that the Pens have an elite first line. The combination of Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust and Sidney Crosby has been one of the top lines in the league in recent years, but advanced analytics may be able to quantify just how good they are.The Crosby Line May be Better than it Looks
In a recent tweet, prominent hockey twitter personality JFresh posted this graphic to show just how great the line has been.
This graphic shows just how brilliant the first line has been at even strength. Based on this model there doesn't seem to be anyone close.
This is what I enjoy about advanced analytics, they can help to quantify what we are seeing on the ice.
As JFresh mentions in a follow up tweet, imagine if this was the case on the power play. Let's hope this dominance continues and the Pens can find success on the PP.
