Penguins Star Passed Over for All Star Game Selection
With the NHL All-Star Game approaching in Toronto, the final roster selections have been made. Due to Jack Eichel and Connor Bedard missing this years games due to injury, the two replacements have been revealed and Penguins fans are not happy!
Trocheck and Connor added to ASG
The two replacements for the all star game have been revealed. The NHL choose a player from each conference. Representing the Eastern Conference is Vincent Trocheck from the New York Rangers who has 44 points this season. The next choice coming out of the West was forward Kyle Connor from the Winnipeg Jets. Connor, has recently returned from an injury sidelining him for over a month.
Guentzel snubbed from selection?
Penguins star Jake Guentzel has been having a great season in his contract year. the forward has 46 points in 43 games this season, tied for the team lead alongside captain Sidney Crosby. It seems like he deserved the selection more than 2C Trocheck who has been putting up average numbers his whole career, well at least that is what fans have to say. You can also make an argument that the Jets forward Kyle Connor is not worthy of going as he has been injured for about almost half the season. Perhaps Jake Guentzel not going will allow him to reset for the final stretch of the Penguins' crucial season.
