Pittsburgh Penguins 2023 First Round Pick

With their first round selection of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected F Brayden Yager 14th overall from the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL. Armed with an elite shot, the Penguins look for Yager to make an impact in the upcoming years. He is currently regarded by many as being the top prospect in the Penguins system.

Yager's Recent Hot Streak in the WHL

After a very impressive training camp from the 18 year old, Yager returned to the WHL to continue his development. So far he has been excellent with 33 points through 23 games. Yager was known for his goalscoring ability at the draft, but has been working to round out his game.

As the WHL season continues, Yager looks to continue his rapid pace. Yesterday in a regular season game against Swift Current, Yager had an impressive hat trick. Videos can be found below.

The Penguins front office will be watching Yager's development through the year, as the excitement from the fanbase mounts.

More details to come.
