Pittsburgh Penguins Reveal Exciting Plans for Jaromir Jagr's Jersey Retirement Celebration
Soon, the number 68 will hang in the rafters at the PPG Arena. But before it is raised with the other two retired numbers, the Penguins have big plans for a celebration to honor Jaromir Jagr.
The 'Celebrate 68' Weekend Will Begin at Rivers Casino on February 16th
The man himself Jaromir Jagr will be in attendance all weekend, starting downtown at Rivers Casino on February 16th, where he will be joined by long time broadcaster Paul Steigerwald and some of Jagr's former teammates, including Kevin Stevens, Phil Bourque and Jay Caufield.
The evening dubbed 'An Evening with Jaromir Jagr' will
"take guests down memory lane, spanning three decades of Jagr's career from his arrival to Pittsburgh as a teenager to the emotions of having his number raised to the rafters,"
according to the Pittsburgh Penguins press release.Fans 21 and over are invited to purchase tickets and attend this great event.

The celebration will then conclude on February 18th as the Penguins raise the number 68 sweater into the rafter's during a pre-game ceremony.
The Penguins press release added;
"Jagr will be joined on the ice by teammates from the 1991 and 1992 Stanley Cup Championship teams, as well as special guests of Jaromir and the current Penguins team. The ceremony will conclude with a speech from Jagr himself," the press release added.
The doors at PPG Arena open early, at 3pm and all fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 4:15pm. Fans that are in attendance will receive a replica Jagr No. 68 banner that can hang in every man cave in the Pittsburgh area.
