BREAKING: Mike Sullivan confirms the worst regarding Noel Acciari

During their recent 3-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets, Noel Acciari was taken out by a hit to the head from defenseman Brenden Dillon, and now Head Coach Mike Sullivan has given an update on the veteran.

Noel Acciari to miss the upcoming road trip with a concussion



Unfortunately, it's not good news at all, as Sullivan confirmed that Acciari has a concussion, and will miss the upcoming road trip where Pittsburgh will head to Minnesota and Winnipeg.

Updates from Mike Sullivan:
- Noel Acciari has been diagnosed with a concussion, and he will not travel with the team to Minnesota and Winnipeg.
- Today was a maintenance day for Evgeni Malkin.




Dillon was ultimately handed a three game suspension for the intentional hit to the head, but now we know that Acciari will miss at least the next two games, and potentially more depending on his recovery.

In 39 games this season, the 32-year old has just 3 goals and 4 points, but is a valued member of this lineup, so now the team will wait patiently for his return as they look to make a playoff push in 2023-24.
