Fleury and Crosby Reunite with Emotion Ahead of Tonight's Game
Marc Andre Fleury and Sidney Crosby met up for an emotional reunion during today's morning skate ahead of tonight's clash between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Minnesota Wild. Flower is set to receive a pregame ceremony hosted by the Wild and Penguins after accomplishing a special milestone back on December 31st.
Fleury set for a big night
The Minnesota Wild goalie and former Penguin Marc Andre Fleury will be honoured tonight for 1000 games played in the NHL. He recently beat Patrick Roy and put himself second in most games won of all time, only trailing New Jersey Devils legend, Martin Brodeur. Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang presented Flower with a mural of all his accomplishments in the NHL.
This can potentially be his last game vs his former team in his career as his contract with the Wild is set to expire at the end of the season, and his future remains unclear, as he may be heading towards retirement
Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang shared a comment on this moment for Fleury.
«He's had quite the career,» Crosby said, per NHL.com. «Another milestone. It'll be nice to celebrate with him.»
