Pittsburgh could be a potential landing spot for Mitch Marner

The Toronto Maple Leafs have hit rock bottom, losing their sixth straight game seven versus the Boston Bruins on Saturday night while their core four has gone MIA with less than 5 points in the seven game series. It may have been the last time we see Mitch Marner in a Maple Leafs uniform, and a reunion with Kyle Dubas and the Penguins may be a possibility.

With the Leafs finally eliminated, their off-season has finally begun and there will no doubt be changes to the Maple Leafs, roster wise. Mitch Marner has been the scapegoat by fans with yet another ghost performance when it matters most. He is the most likely forward of the core four to be on the move.

This would mean a reunion for Mitch Marner and Penguins GM Kyle Dubas. Erik Karlsson hasn't exactly lived up to his expectations in Pittsburgh, and the swedish defenseman has been linked numerous times to the Toronto Maple Leafs while he was a San Jose Shark.
