Crosby Criticizes Dubas For Guentzel Trade
In a recent interview with the media Sidney Crosby spoke about the trade sending Jake Guentzel out of town. In his answer, Crosby sounds as though he is frustrated with how things went down and that he wanted Guentzel to stay.
I don't know. You'd have to ask him why he did that. Crosby continued: He was a great teammate, a friend, Crosby said of Guentzel. I think he did everything he possibly could in his time here. It was just a privilege to play with him for the course of the time. Some great memories.
It was a privilege. That's all I can say.

From these comments, it sounds as though Crosby is distraught and angry with the decision to trade away Guentzel. It makes you wonder if he was consulted on the move or the direction of the team in any way. Of course, he is not entitled to have an input on these decisions but it is not all that uncommon that superstars are involved.
As the regular season winds down it will be fascinating to see if this decision drives a wedge between the Penguins organization and Sidney Crosby going forward.
