Despite receiving backlash for leaving the league, Pietrangelo turned out to have a pretty good reason
Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo attended practice yesterday after missing nine games from an absence he took for personal reasons. The reason has been revealed and it's because his daughter became seriously sick.
After thanksgiving, she reportedly got the flu, which developed into a lesion on her brain. She then lost all motor skills. Alex said they tried a "course of treatment" and that one week later, the lesion was gone and his daughter could start recovering,The doctors expect his daughter to make a full recovery, which will take months of rehabilitation.
