Former first overall pick could possibly be sent to the AHL
Montreal Canadiens are having a tough time this season. Although they started off strong, they currently are tanking to increase their chance of getting Connor Bedard in the next draft. They got the first overall pick last year and they grabbed Juraj Slafkovsky.
Right now, Montreal is coming back from a trip, and an insider tweeted about the possibility of Slafkovsky getting sent to the Laval Rocket. He hasn't been delivering quite as expected since he only has four goals and ten points this season. Of course, the Canadiens are not the best team to shine as a young player because the overall team is kind of weak, but it's still logical for the organization to try and move a few things to find possible winning combinations on the lines.
