With the Pittsburgh Penguins dancing on the edge of playoff hopes, you'd think Sidney Crosby would be glued to the league scoreboard, right? Well, not exactly.

In fact, when asked if binge-watching the standings like a Netflix series, Crosby's response was a firm No. And as his team gears up to take on the Detroit Red Wings, Crosby's got his focus right where it needs to be on his team.

Sure, the playoff race is everywhere when he steps into the rink, but Crosby's not losing sleep over it.
Our outlook has been pretty clear for a while now,
he says. And he's not wrong.

It's unclear when the Penguins' surge towards the postseason birthed. Maybe it was that overtime heartbreaker against the Colorado Avalanche, where they squandered a 4-0 lead, where goalie Alex Nedeljkovic kicked off his nine-game hot streak. Maybe it was a 6-3 statement win over the Detroit Red Wings earlier in the month. Either way, the goal is playoffs or bust for Crosby and Co.

Drew O'Connor summed it up nicely:
Nobody wants to let it slip away now that we're this close.
And with both the Penguins and the Red Wings tied in the Wild Card standings and four games left, Thursday's game is loaded with gravity.

Big games are no stranger to these Pens because as Captain Crosby notes, they've been here before.
We've been playing in games like this for a bit,
.
And if recent performances are anything to go by, they're at least not backing down without a fight.
