Jeff Carter officially retires from professional hockey
After playing for the past few seasons with the Penguins, Jeff Carter has officially announced his retirement.
In a career that has spanned over 1300 plus games, Carter has suited up for 4 different NHL teams. He also is a two-time Stanley Cup champion.Although he received a lot of criticism in Pittsburgh, he was remarkably well liked within the organization and respected league-wide. Also for those who remember him in his prime - he was a beast in his day.
The Canadian forward amassed 851 points over his time with the Flyers, Kings, Blue Jackets and Penguins.

The team also had him on the starting line with Sid as a tribute to his time in the league, it was also fantastic to see him score in his final game.
