Mike Sullivan criticized for the Penguins missing the playoffs

It is official, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially eliminated from the playoffs. It was expected, many thought it would've been official by game 70, but to everyone's surprise, the Penguins hanged in there until the very last game. Coach Mike Sullivan is now being blamed for failing to achieve playoff aspirations.

Many people are calling for the firing of Mike Sullivan as many believe the time is up. For the second year in a row, the Pittsburgh Penguins have not made the Stanley Cup Playoffs, a day that was bound to come eventually given the aging core in Pittsburgh. Sidney Crosby and company have not won a playoff series since 2018.


Penguins insider from the Athletic, thinks that there are better suitors for this new regime in Pittsburgh instead of long time coach Mike Sullivan.
