It has never been so close in the Eastern Conference wildcard spot with just three games to go, and tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins look to keep their season alive in their matchup versus the 1st place Boston Bruins. Head coach Mike Sullivan has chose his starter ahead of the big game.

Mike Sullivan has decided to give his vote of confiedence in who other than presumed backup goalie Alex Nedeljkovic. With a start tonight, this would mark his 11 straight game starting between the pipes with the Penguins. In his last ten games and the team, the Penguins have yet to lose in regulation with an impressive record of 7-0-3.

Continues career-long stretch with his 11th straight start

With 86 points, the Pittsburgh Penguins currently sit 4th in the Metropolitan division and in the final wildcard spot, something that seemed impossible as of March 8th after the Jake Guentzel trade.

It's a battle out there for the final wildcard spot with games ending by April 17th, with teams like the Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins all fighting for one spot. Time is ticking, and tonight remains crucial for Sidney Crosby and his Pittsburgh Penguins.
