Another Milestone in Super Mario's Legendary Career

While things are less than ideal right now for the 2023-2024 Penguins, I thought it would be nice to look back on a brighter time in Penguins history.

On this day in 1990, Mario Lemieux extended his point streak to 46 games, with a beauty goal against the Philadelphia Flyers. See the video below.

Super Mario's 1990 NHL Season

After this game Lemieux was forced to leave the game due to injury and gave up his remarkable point streak. During this span he scored 39 goals and 64 assists for a total of 109 points.

Lemieux would finish the season with 123 points despite only playing 59 games. Just imagine the point totals if he was completely healthy!

I think that if Lemieux didn't have the injury trouble that he did, he would've broken some of Wayne's records. I also
believe that he was the most talented player to ever play.

What do you think? Do you miss watching Mario play?
