Erik Karlsson Keeps the Penguins Playoffs Hopes Alive with Overtime Goal

The Penguins were able to get themselves into overtime against one of the better teams in the league last night against the Vancouver Canucks.

It was Erik Karlsson who put them over the top for two points with a game winning goal in OT.

At the 1:42 minute mark the Penguins were dishing the puck back and forth. Karlsson managed to keep the puck in and make some spectacular moves to keep the puck in the zone. Reilly Smith, Lars Eller and Erik Karlsson kept the puck moving and Karlsson buried it.

Coach Mike Sullivan Comments on the Erik Karlsson Game Winning Goal

When asked about the goal and Karlsson's play, Mike Sullivan added;

Karlsson himself talked about how the team played against one of the best in the league.

Karlsson: "It wasn't a pretty one, but they are one of the best teams in the league. We hung in there all the way until the end. Even though we didn't have the start we wanted, we didn't get discouraged. We just kept going - and good things happen sometimes. The Penguins are on a 3-game winning streak, as they prepare to play tomorrow night against the Seattle Kraken.
