The Penguins were able to get themselves into overtime against one of the better teams in the league last night against the Vancouver Canucks.

It was Erik Karlsson who put them over the top for two points with a game winning goal in OT.

At the 1:42 minute mark the Penguins were dishing the puck back and forth. Karlsson managed to keep the puck in and make some spectacular moves to keep the puck in the zone. Reilly Smith, Lars Eller and Erik Karlsson kept the puck moving and Karlsson buried it.

Coach Mike Sullivan Comments on the Erik Karlsson Game Winning Goal

When asked about the goal and Karlsson's play, Mike Sullivan added;

"I thought he really stepped up tonight. He was an impact player for us. I think when you see him take his game to that level, that's the game I think we all get excited about."

Karlsson himself talked about how the team played against one of the best in the league.

The Penguins are on a 3-game winning streak, as they prepare to play tomorrow night against the Seattle Kraken.
