Sidney Crosby ties for 10th in all-time NHL points

In a must-win game for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Sidney Crosby is once again coming up big and breaking records in the process. Tonight Sidney Crosby has cracked the top 10 all-time points list with his performance against the Detroit Red Wings.

In the second period of the Penguins' contest against the Detroit Red Wings, captain Sidney Crosby entered a new tier of hockey history. On the Penguins' third goal of the game, Sidney Crosby put one home tying him with Phil Esposito for third all-time on the points list.








Sidney Crosby joins Pittsburgh Penguins legends Jaromir Jagr and Mario Lemieux as representatives of the franchise in the top 10.




In the grand scheme of things, this is a huge accomplishment for one of the best NHL players of all time. Now he and his teammates will need to keep the pressure on to end the night right and pull out the victory.
