Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan dropped big news during morning skate, shedding light on defenseman Ryan Shea's absence. Turns out, Shea ran into an immigration issue, sending him on a detour to Buffalo to sort things out.

Sullivan didn't sugarcoat anything. He laid it all out there, explaining the situation with clarity and honesty. And despite the hiccup, he seemed optimistic that Shea would still make it in time for Monday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Shea had an immigration issue, so he is in Buffalo getting that resolved. We anticipate he'll be here for game time. Hopefully, he's out of the path of totality [smiles] and he doesn't run into any issues there, and we'll be in good shape.

Now, before this immigration ordeal, Shea was making waves. Just take Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals, for example. Despite his limited NHL experience, the 27-year-old defenseman wasted no time making an impact. He fired off a wicked wrister just 1:49 into the first period, notching his first-ever NHL goal and point.

With a +1 rating, 20 hits, and 17 blocked shots, Shea's presence on hasn't gone unnoticed. He may have had a quieter game in Saturday's 5-4 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but that'll happen.

The hope is that Shea gets that immigration issue sorted out soon and gets back on the ice with the Penguins. With his talent and determination, there's no doubt he'll be making an impact again in no time!
