With the trade deadline on the horizon, there's been a lot or rumors involving Jake Guentzel and his future in Pittsburgh. As we look into the possible destinations for the forward, a top team reportedly got out of the derby.

While many Oilers fans hoped to see their GM Ken Holland go after Guentzel at the deadline, it looks like it won't happen, according the Frank Seravalli.



Fortunately, other teams should be interested.

Other Possible Destinations for Jake Guentzel

If the Penguins do decide to trade him, they'll probably have a few options on the table. Teams like the Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks, and the Carolina Hurricanes have already inquired about Guentzel.

As the deadline approaches and players move between teams, the list of candidates for a top forward on the trade market is getting shorter. Guentzel is one of a kind and he could play an important role for any team in the playoffs. His current injury could also come into consideration.
