After his recent hot stretch with the Blue Jackets, Nylander was asked about his time in Pittsburgh. He seemed frustrated that the team refused to give him a serious chance in the NHL, despite putting up good numbers in the American League.

"Obviously, it was really good when I was down in the (AHL). Really got my game going there. I knew I could play up in the NHL and didn't really get many chances to play up here and play more games. That's really unfortunate (because) I really wanted to play and show I can play in the NHL."

Nylander has eight goals and 11 points in 15 games since being traded to the Blue Jackets, including a hat trick scored against the Vegas Golden Knights.
