Jake Guentzel and family get emotional while watching Penguins tribute

In his first appearance back at PPG Paints Arena, the Penguins organization showed a touching tribute video for Jake Guentzel.

Jake Guentzel Makes his Return to PPG Paints Arena to Play the Penguins

After being traded at this years Trade Deadline, Jake Guentzel made his emotional return to the Steel City.

The Penguins and Hurricanes faced off tonight in a metro division matchup, and the Penguins media team welcomed Jake Guentzel back into his former home with this touching tribute.




Penguins fans were devastated when the news broke that Guentzel would be leaving Pittsburgh. He will likely go down as one of the best wingers in Penguins history and was a crucial piece in the Penguins success over the past decade.

Specifically, Guentzel was instrumental in the Penguins 2017 Stanley Cup run.

Upon seeing the tribute video, Guentzel and his family became overwhelmed with emotion and understandably so.





Although it pains me to see him playing for another team, I wish Jake all the best in his future career endeavours.
