Insider Reveals The One Team Marc-Andre Fleury Would Consider Waiving His No Trade Clause For

As the NHL trade deadline approaches rumors have continued to pick up regarding star players. One player linked to a new team in the next couple of weeks is goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. A trusted insider suggested he could be heading to yet another new home.

Fleury Linked To A Contender At The NHL Trade Deadline

Today while speaking about the trade deadline NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun brought up goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. LeBrun has heard rumblings that Fleury would be willing to waive his no-trade clause to head to the Toronto Maple Leafs.




Although Fleury would be willing to go to the Maple Leafs there are not currently trade talks between the two around the future Hall of Famer. If he is traded he could fetch a good return for the Minnesota Wild.

Can Fleury Be Pulled Away From Minnesota?

In the past many sources had denied that Marc-Andre Fleury was available to be traded for. Despite this, there seems to be some momentum towards a trade. If Fleury is to end up in Toronto what might it cost?

The Maple Leafs are desperate for a veteran goaltender to solidify the position. If Fleury can pick up his game heading into the deadline the Maple Leafs could have to give up a top prospect. More likely the Leafs will give up somewhere around a second-round pick and a top-six forward or top-four defenseman prospect.

As the trade deadline comes even closer it will be fun to see if the rumors surrounding the former Penguin great intensify or quiet themselves.
