With the Penguins continuing their frustrating season, Sidney Crosby has just shown his disappointment in how things are going in this video of the Pens bench.
When you've played such a long and illustrious career for a single team like Sidney Crosby has for the Penguins, there is no question who holds the reigns for the team. While Mike Sullivan and the rest of the coaching staff are technically in charge, there is no doubt that the true leadership for the entire Penguins organization comes from Sidney Crosby. For that reason, it means a lot when Sidney Crosby shows his frustration with the coaching staff. Obviously, this season isn't going as previously hoped for when the Erik Karlsson deal was done in the offseason, and all signs are pointing toward a need for a complete rebuild. With that, though, comes the frustration, and Crosby showed it on the bench.
I don't ever remember seeing Sid go at a head coach like this. Waving his hands dismissing Sullivan's tired ass. Crazy time in Pens-land

While Crosby isn't set to retire anytime soon, there is a clear feeling that the end is near. The most unfortunate part of that realization is that the Penguins are also going to need to rebuild, meaning that their window of competitiveness for another cup likely won't come when Crosby is still playing. Crosby shared this frustration initially when Guentzel was traded at the deadline.
Unfortunately, this feels like watching the house burn down, and there is nothing to do about it besides wait and pick up the pieces to rebuild.
